A trade copier is one app that watches the account you trade — your leader — and instantly places the same trades on your other accounts, the followers. Copymoar does this for Rithmic-powered futures accounts, so a single trade on your leader fans out to every follower at once.
Rithmic is a direct market-data and order-routing platform used by many futures prop firms. Unlike browser-based logins, Copymoar connects to Rithmic the way a desktop platform does — with your Rithmic username and password, no browser window and no API key to generate. Your credentials are stored encrypted on your own device and are never sent to our servers.
Connecting Rithmic to Copymoar
Rithmic doesn't use a browser sign-in, so the connect flow is a single, direct login:
Add your account
Open Accounts → Add account and pick Rithmic. Mark it as your leader (the account you trade) or a follower (one that copies it).
Enter your login and system
Type your Rithmic username and password, then pick your system — the gateway your prop firm uses. If your firm is in the list (for example, Apex), choose it; otherwise choose Rithmic Paper Trading. The gateway is selected for you automatically.
Let it verify and find your accounts
Copymoar signs in once to check the login and list every account under it. If the login owns several accounts, you choose which ones become rows — and you can't add the same account twice.
Build a group and go live
Create a group, choose your leader, tick the followers with their sizing, and turn the group Active. From then on the followers mirror the leader — entries, exits, stop and target moves, partials and flattens.
A named, registered Rithmic connection
Plenty of tools can log into Rithmic. Fewer are recognised by Rithmic itself. Copymoar connects to Rithmic's live order plant as a named, registered application — it identifies as "Copymoar" on the production order servers, the arrangement Rithmic expects for software that places orders. This has been confirmed working live with Legends and Apex accounts.
We add firms deliberately rather than claiming blanket support. Support for more Rithmic firms is rolling out; if you don't see yours working yet, check with us or your firm before you rely on it in size. One live session per login
Rithmic allows one live session per login. That's a Rithmic rule, not a Copymoar limit, and it shapes the cleanest setup:
- Trade your leader through Copymoar itself, so the app holds the single session.
- Don't run R|Trader, another platform, or a second Copymoar row on the same login at the same time — they'll kick each other's order connection.
- If you genuinely need a second concurrent session, ask your firm for a separate credential.
If two things do end up on one login, Copymoar tells you plainly — "this Rithmic login is already connected on another account" — so you can connect them at different times instead of fighting over the session.
How much of each trade copies
You choose how the crew copies the leader, per group. The names describe what happens, not the plumbing:
Copy my stops & targets
Your stop and target rest safely at the broker and move when you move yours. Best with one to three followers.
Protective bracket, broker-friendly
A stop and target still rest at the broker, tuned to stay light when several accounts share one login.
Just follow entries & exits
Followers get in and out at market with you. Nothing rests at the broker in between.
If you trade a native bracket or ATM on your Rithmic leader, its stop and target copy to followers as tracked protective orders that follow your drags — and when one side fills, the other cancels across the whole crew.
Risk limits on Rithmic accounts
Copymoar has a built-in risk manager that watches every account against the daily-loss limit and daily target you set. On a breach it halts copying and flattens that account. On Rithmic, the app enforces those limits itself, while it's running — Rithmic accounts are guarded by the app, not by a limit pushed to the broker.
One detail specific to Rithmic: it doesn't report a per-trade fee, so fees aren't counted toward your daily loss on Rithmic accounts. Set your limit with that in mind. Copymoar also never holds a buy and a sell on the same market at once (prop firms ban that), and a copy can only ever reduce a position, never flip it.

Why does it say my Rithmic login is "in use"?+
Something else is signed into that login — R|Trader, another app, or a second Copymoar row. Rithmic allows one session per login. Close the other session, then press Connect.
Are my Rithmic credentials safe?+
On the Pro plan your Rithmic username and password are stored encrypted on your own computer and never reach our servers. On the hosted plans they travel encrypted straight to your own private copy of the app. Full detail is in our privacy policy.
Can I run the Rithmic copier on a Mac?+
Yes. Copymoar is a native macOS app as well as Windows — see the Mac trade copier page. Rithmic connects the same way on both.
