A trade copier is one app that watches the account you trade — your leader — and instantly places the same trades on your other accounts, the followers. Copymoar does this for Tradovate accounts, so one trade fans out to every account you run.
The connection is a proper Sign in with Tradovate — the same button you'd trust on any site. You approve it on Tradovate's own page, and no password or API key ever touches Copymoar. After that it reconnects on its own; you won't be typing logins again.
Connecting Tradovate to Copymoar
Add your account
Open Accounts → Add account and pick Tradovate. Mark it as your leader (the account you trade) or a follower (one that copies it).
Sign in with Tradovate
Click Sign in with Tradovate. A new tab opens Tradovate's own sign-in page, where you approve the connection. Nothing to type into Copymoar, and your password never touches it.
Pick your accounts
One Tradovate login can own several accounts. Copymoar lists them so you choose which become rows — and you can't add the same account twice.
Build a group and go live
Create a group, choose your leader, tick the followers with their sizing, and turn it Active. From then on the followers mirror the leader.
Many accounts on one login, without getting blocked
Here's the Tradovate-specific quirk worth understanding. Accounts that sit under a single Tradovate login share one trading pace — the broker treats their orders as coming from the same place. Push too many orders through at once and a busy login can get temporarily blocked. Copymoar is built around that:
- When a lot of accounts follow one leader, the app spaces out the orders so a shared login stays under the broker's limits instead of tripping them.
- A rate meter shows the safe pace for your fleet size — green, amber or red at a glance — so you can see when you're pushing it.
- Getting out of a trade is never delayed. Exits are never rationed, no matter how busy the fleet is.
Two levers raise your pace: attach your stop and target to the entry (a bracket or ATM entry) so the exits complete broker-side, and spread accounts across more logins — each login carries its own pace. Keep each login's fleet modest where you can.
Trading on TradingView alongside the app
Tradovate coexists cleanly. Trading your leader on TradingView while Copymoar runs is fine — they don't fight over your trading session, so you can trade wherever you like and let the followers copy it.
Risk on Tradovate accounts
Copymoar's risk manager watches every account against the daily-loss limit and daily target you set, and on a breach it halts copying and flattens that account. On Tradovate it also counts the broker's reported fees toward your daily loss, so your limit reflects what actually leaves the account.
How much of each trade copies
Copy my stops & targets
Your stop and target rest safely at the broker and move when you move yours. Best with one to three followers.
Protective bracket, broker-friendly
A stop and target still rest at the broker, tuned to stay light when several accounts share one login.
Just follow entries & exits
Followers get in and out at market with you. Nothing rests at the broker in between.
Using Copymoar as a NinjaTrader trade copier
NinjaTrader accounts run on the same broker connection, so Copymoar copies them through the same one-click flow. Choose NinjaTrader when you add an account and sign in with your NinjaTrader / Tradovate login — same company, same page.
What makes this genuinely useful: you don't need the NinjaTrader desktop platform open, or even installed, to copy those accounts. Copymoar connects to the account directly — which also means you can run a NinjaTrader trade copier on a Mac, where the NinjaTrader platform itself doesn't run. It's the same set of copy modes, the same funded-account safety rails, and the same risk manager as Tradovate. A practical tip: give a NinjaTrader account a short test run before you lean on it in size. And if your prop firm moved you off ProjectX-based software after early 2026, a Tradovate- or NinjaTrader-backed account is one of the routes traders have shifted to.
Tradovate trade copier FAQ
Do I need a Tradovate API key?+
No. You connect by clicking Sign in with Tradovate and approving on Tradovate's own page. No password or API key enters Copymoar, and it reconnects on its own afterward.
Will many accounts on one login get blocked?+
Accounts under one login share one trading pace. Copymoar spaces out orders so a busy login isn't temporarily blocked, and a rate meter shows your safe pace. Getting out is never delayed, and spreading accounts across more logins raises your total pace.
Does Copymoar work with NinjaTrader?+
Yes. NinjaTrader accounts connect through the same one-click flow using your NinjaTrader / Tradovate login — so you can copy them from Copymoar without running the NinjaTrader desktop platform, on Mac or Windows.
Can I trade on TradingView while Copymoar runs?+
Yes. Tradovate coexists cleanly — trading your leader on TradingView alongside the app is fine; they don't fight over your trading session.
Does it run on a Mac?+
Yes — Copymoar is a native macOS app as well as Windows. See the Mac trade copier page.
